About the Department

The Department of Agriculture at East Hararghee University is committed to developing the next generation of agricultural scientists, agronomists, and animal science specialists who will drive food security and rural prosperity across Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.

Our programmes combine rigorous agricultural science with hands-on field experience — from crop production and soil management to livestock husbandry and agribusiness — giving students the knowledge and practical skills to transform how food is grown, managed, and sustained.
